Once upon a time, when I had my studio in my home, I dreaded studio maternity sessions. When you live in the Calgary area, you know that the weather will be unpredictable, and sometimes it's really just too cold to do a maternity session outdoors. Studio maternity sessions are a great option, but they required so much time to rearrange the only room in my home that could possibly accommodate such a large setup, and the time it took to shove furniture around and then set up and clean up afterwards was honestly exhausting. I always loved the final studio maternity images, but I dreamed of the day that I'd have a space of my own to do studio sessions. After moving into my commercial studio space in October of 2020, one of the things I was really looking forward to was my first maternity session in my new studio, and so I was so excited to have Laura, Brendan, and their fur-baby Myla come join me there!

Laura is absolutely gorgeous, and we had a lot of fun with backdrops and costume changes (and maybe might have gone just a tad overboard with them!) but I couldn't possibly love the images we created together more!
